Cycling levels:

Easy biking in nearly flat landscape; also possible for people with little or no bicycle experience. The daily distances are approximately 30-50 km in general. Bicycles with up to 3 gears can do the job. All our adult rental bikes have at least 21 gears.

A taste of Venetian Countryside

 

Cycle along the River Sile through the flatVenetoregion, towards the cypress-covered foothills of the Montegrappa. Stop in the medieval town ofBassano del Grappato visit the “grappa” museum, the famous liqueur produced here and then the charming town ofAsolothe "city of a hundred horizons". Continue riding through the Prosecco region with its vineyard covered hills till Follina, the next landmark, lying at the foothills of theDolomiteMountains. Following theProsecco Routefrom winery to winery you reach Conegliano first and then the back onto the plain dotted with magnificent Venetian Villas like the one you stay at, in Gorgo al Monticano.

Day 1 Arrival in Treviso    

Arrive at your hotel in Treviso and take stroll through the streets of this old charming town. The magnificent city walls, still intact, will be the perfect backdrop for a wonderful beginning of your holidays. Relax with a glass of wine in a bar in the nice Piazza dei Signori, Treviso’s main square, just few steps from your hotel.

Day 2 Ride from Paese to Mussolente  
 After breakfast a short train ride takes you to Paese from where the day’s ride starts, following a scenic route along the River Sile. 
Narrow and winding roads through cultivated fields will lead you to  Castelfranco Veneto, where the famous Italian painter Giorgione was born, a medieval town surrounded by high walls. Cycle along the quiet countryside to the town of Mussolente.

Day 3 Mussolente roundtrip  
Today you cycle on countryside roads till the town of Bassano del Grappa, worldwide renowned for the alcohol-rich “grappa”, a very strong liquor made distilling the skins, pulp, seeds, and stems left over from winemaking after pressing the grapes. Worth a visit are also the “Alpini Bridge” over the Brenta river, likewise  the many squares. After a lunch break, ride through small villages up to Cassanego, with the famous Monte Grappa, theatre of many battles in the First World War, looming impressively over you. 
A gentle descent leads you back to the hotel.

Day 4 Ride from Mussolente to Follina 
After breakfast ride to Asolo, better know as the “city of one  hundred horizons” or the “Pearl of Veneto”. After a coffee break, continue riding on one of the most beautiful roads in the whole region. The breathtaking panorama of the snow-covered Alps along the way will be an image you will not forget. After crossing the Piave River, the landscape will change, and the Prosecco vineyards on steeply hills will assume the leading role. A last effort is required, as you go upward a steep road to reach your accommodation.

Day 5 Follina roundtrip with optional short extension to Vittorio Veneto
 
An exciting and challenging ride awaits you today. After a steep climb you will pass through the tiny village of Rolle, along the Prosecco Route. Ride downhill to the Revine Lake, where you can stop for a swim. With a short detour you can visit the historic town of Vittorio Veneto, made of two hearts, Ceneda and Serravalle. A gentle climb will lead you out of town through quiet woods and vineyards. Admire the beautiful landscape throughout your demanding ride to Follina.

Day 6 Ride from Follina to Gorgo al Monticano  
 
Today’s ride starts with a steep slope followed by the gentle hills of the Prosecco region. Reach Conegliano, a historic town founded in the XII century. As you enter the town, you will be amazed by the magnificence of the Castle which towers over the whole territory. Ride on through the village of Oderzo, with the beautiful Piazza Grande, ending to the small village of Gorgo al Monticano.

Day 7 Travel to Venice
After breakfast make your own way to Venice. Full day at leisure to stroll around this enchanting town and also take a tour with the famous black boat better known as “gondola”.

Day 8 Travel to Venice
The trip and our services end after breakfast, unless you have booked a transfer to the airport or to the train station, or other supplementary services.
