Day 1-2: Arrival in Den Oever & Exploring the island of Texel

Arrival Saturday at the harbour in Den Oever. Time to settle into your cabin. Introduction to the sailing program and safety chat. Welcome cocktail while setting sail for Oudeschild. By bike from the harbour into Den Burg on Texel, with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. You will also find a good selection of restaurants in Oudeschild itself. Sunday: a day to explore the island of Texel.

Day 3-4: To the island of Terschelling

5-6 hours sailing to the island of Terschelling, to then anchor in West, a village which maintains much of its old charm and architecture. The remainder of Monday and all day Tuesday to discover the variety and beauty of this island.

Day 5: To the island of Ameland

By boat to Ameland or, if weather permits, Schiermonnikoog. A trip through the many channels and tidal trenches of the Wadden Sea. Chance of spotting seals on sandbars between the islands.

Day 6: To the island of Vlieland

Sail on to Vlieland, an island of unspoilt nature. The only village, just five minutes by bike from the harbour, could be described as an oasis of peace. An immense beach stretches far as the eye can see.

Day 7: Sailing to Den Oever

By boat from Vlieland back to Den Oever. On our way we might visit the scenic and traditional city of Harlingen in the province of Friesland. If there is time in we can stroll round admiring this historic 'Hanze city'. In the afternoon you leave the ship to go home.
